The URL address of our website is math4data.net. On this website, we discuss the mathematics behind data science and data analysis, but are not necessarily limited to that. It is famous that the mathematics for data science and data analysis consists of four different but related branches of mathematics, namely, calculus, linear algebra, mathematical optimization, and probability theory and statistics. However, one may not believe that due to recent advances in data science other branches of mathematics such as algebraic geometry, commutative algebra, graph theory, and topology have found applications in data science and data analysis.

In our posts, we discuss concepts, definitions, and mathematical results (theorems). Whenever possible, we use examples and solve problems in order to clarify our point. However, we avoid long proofs, if possible, to get to the point.

We aim to make the website mobile-friendly. Due to this, we try to avoid long formulas on one line and break them whenever possible.

### The people behind the math4data.net website:

My name is Peyman Nasehpour and I hold a “dr. rer. nat.” degree in mathematics. I have more than 15 years of teaching and researching experiences in pure and applied mathematics. For more, see my personal website: Dr. Peyman Nasehpour.

My name is Hussein Behzadipour. At the moment, I am an M.Sc. student in pure mathematics. I also have another M.Sc. and a B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering (telecommunication).
